So, I am happy to say the Armoir is in full operation and the girls are loving every minute of it. Anna and Grace are spending hours everyday hanging up their doll clothes along with arranging and re-arranging the accessories. I am happy because they are racing to get organized and I am not finding this stuff all over the house. It is also wonderful to see them take pride in caring for their things and to me, as corny as it sounds, I feel as though the principles they are self-teaching are giving them a solid foundation going forward. It seems as though it is getting harder to teach the kids the same lessons we have learned growing up with all the technology. What are your thoughts and how are you or have you made sure your kids are have a solid footing?

Organize, Organize, and Organize Somemore!
Wow! I can't believe the Christmas season is complete and a new year is upon us. We had a wonderful Christmas and I only hope the years to come are as beautiful as this one proved to be. It was quiet and simple and exactly what the doctor ordered for our family. More importantly it gave merit to the old adage less is more.
So with the holiday season winding down it is time to get a hold of the clutter and win the battle. Jon and I are beginning that battle with tackling the kids room. We have two girls, Anna, who just turned 7 and Gracie, who is 5 1/2 along with two pugs, Tulip and Daisy and our biggest challenge is keeping their toys under control. As with most girls their age they love anything that even resembles the American Girl doll rage happening these days. For Anna's birthday this December she wanted to visit the American Girl Doll store in New York City. Luckily we got out of the store with very little damage to my pocketbook. So for Christmas this year Jon decided to make an armoire for the girls to store the dolls, their clothes, and accessories. I am going to post pictures but it is fantastic. One side has ample room for the dolls and their stands and the other has two dowels to hang their clothes and shelves for shoes and accessories. With this creation we have decided to design an entire line of quality furniture that will work with any 18" doll. We are going to make the furniture out of pine, as our other furniture is created, so they will truly become pieces that can be passed along from one child to the next along with the dolls.
Jon and I are so excited to share all of the new items with you, I will have the pictures up tomorrow so check back. We will posting often with tips on organizing, cleaning, cooking, baking, and so much more for busy moms.
Blessings,
Jenn
